Talented Friend.
Han Yixian!
from the design, to the cuts, to the sewing.. ehh, actually i dunno what are the steps he went through to eventually come up with this dress/gown. but it was definitely not easy..

whats more? he isn't trained. he's not a design school student.

of a total opposite - he's doing food science.

well, im sure everyone agrees with me, he's talented!

he won a pair of Jay Chou concert tix!!!!

so i'll be going for the concert this sat. woooooooooooooo!!

though im nt a fan of Jay Chou, i did thought of going for the concert aft reading the write-up on Life on his performance in Tokyo. it was really impressive.

anyhoo, its my first concert!
watch on !

Rochester Park

after conquering Dempsey Hill, the next is ROCHESTER!
this place is highly recommended by alot of magazines..
it is like a mini Dempsey to me, of course Dempsey is more happening.. with the variety of outlets there, price are generally more reasonable den the high-end Rochester.

a weekday dinner for two cost will cost about 150 bucks.

there are a number of restaurants along the stretch of Rochester.
my first time there and my pick is -GRAZE!
www.graze.com.sg

definitely, some rich have planned to open more restaurants..
as you can see, the whole stretch are filled with bungalows-converted-restaurants..
you really have to give them 2 thumbs up for the ambience they created..

coming up~~~
still building~~

ta-da!

GRAZE.

in the evening...

in the night...

the stretch of Rochester Park...

the new-age dining is not just about the food.. the service or the people.. definitely more effort added onto the ambience.. and one more thing i realised frm Oosh @ Dempsey and Graze @ Rochester.. they give their diners a few different kinda settings to choose frm..

frm balcony sofas.. to outdoor garden dining.. lounge area.. the bar..

check them up at Graze~

this special setting is at the entrance of it. screening some 60s movies..

they have a real heavy book of menu.
i gotta practically READ through it.. it took me about 30-45 mins!
alot of details.. good! you knw whats exactly in ur dish..
and one other good point noted, u can choose to have an entree portion (smaller)or main course portion(bigger) for the courses u ordered.. therefore, can try more stuff.
i sat down and they asked me if i wanted sparkling or still water.
i was woo-ed.. they actually serve SPARKLING water!
oh well, ended up, it was a "sales technique" i gotta PAY for it. 9bucks boy!
wagyu beef as appetiser.
damn, smooth and melting slice of beef!! wagyuuuu man.
my fave of the night.
very savoury caesar salad. nothing like the normal..
slightly more saltish den usual cos of the anchoives!
more like a main course i wld say.. quite a big serving.. value for money!

pork hock~ one of their star dishes.
it is not chao-tah !! very tender pork with a light sourish fruity sauce by the side..
compliments the fatty meat very well~

tiger-prawn linguini.

nothing too fantastic.

warm chocoloate tart with caramel! oozing choc? try this :D

baked green apply with some oat and cereal crust. a little too sourish for my liking but its fine after u mix ard with the vanilla bean ice cream~

staff are especially friendly and helpful.
weekday dining recommended! less crowded.. very peaceful.. comfortable.. cosy lightings.
asking to compare Oosh & Graze. it will perhaps be Oosh! cheaper, ambience is rather alike.. food is good too. for the exclusive-ness, try Graze if u happen to feel slightly heavier with cash.. i wld really think its pretty ex.. hotel price!

i was going through my workbin inbox of emails..
all the emails we have been sending around through the past 6months of internship.
theres really alot! whole lot. i wish i can save them all up..

and i remember when i blogged about Yang Heng's birthday post, i mentioned that i'll post his DAMN funny peom.

till date, when i read it, i can still laugh over it!

Extracted:

Thank you deer. I have a poem for you too!

From the 1st day I saw you, I knew you were my prince charming,
As the 2nd day approached us, whenever you were with me you were jumping.
As the days passed, your love for me grew,
And after sometime, you realized that the fact that im an idiot is true.
However you overlooked that and called me lovely,
And you also liked it when I call u humpty dumpty.
I realized that it would be kind of funny,
If one day you were to dump me.
I love you, you love me.
We lovingly go lim guni.
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you,
Glenn’s favourite food is still Kueh Too Too.

Warmest Regards,

Seah Yang Heng

31st O7'

watched "I Am Legend" at 11pm with Yixian & Amy.
"count down" in the movie..
some find it so boring that they left barely an hour into the show..
for the 3 of us, it wasn't fantastic but i guess it wasn't a lousy one either..
juz - not my type of show! ;p

it was SO packed at marina area.
it took us abt an hour or so to get outta the carpark.. luckily it was all smooth all the way up the highway ..

vroooom~
we spent the night at Punggol.
a flat, Yixian's aunt left vacant.. cos she is moving to Auzzie..

wooo.. it was like us staying tgt in a flat..
kinda cool yea?

was damn hungry!
Yixian cooked me a bowl of maggie mee with scallop. spot it! its somewhere THERE...
:D yums.

drank a little.. and..
it was the next morning, 10am when me and amy finally got outta bed..

yx didnt sleep the whole night! ordered us Macs for breakfast.. HOW PAMPERED.. :p

ahhhh really dunno what the heck is wrong.
no matter what blogskin i use the side bar can't get in place.
yes i wld really appreciate if any kind soul can help me solve the problem. it is one good way to get hold of my password :p

meanwhile, since its the content of the blog u guys are following, i shall keep it going. bear with the weird looking bar!

Change of Team;

today is my first day in FHA (Food & Hotel Asia) team!
hand over my stuff in Engineering team and well, its a new start for me.

i took sometime to think back of the past 6months in Engineering team.
the happy moments.. the stressful times.. and those 2 emotional occassion with presence of my tears..

i dont wish to mention more bout the stuff that happened.
all i knw, it did me good :) it taught me ALOT. and thats the purpose of internship isnt it?

if i can leave a msg for the Engineering Team here..
"Appreciate others more, you might find a greater joy than remembering their faults. Free the interns, because you were once in their position. You will have the respect you want when you give the same."

and of course, please do forgive me for the wrongs i've made. and for the times i wonder if i'm really that stupid, you guys made me re-evaluate myself. thus, i knw my weakness better den before.

i'll never forget to thank the only soul whom i will miss working with in the team. my beloved Lao Ban!
i thought of writing you a card through the weekends, but i thought it will be better if i were to give it to be before i leave the place.. wait for it k? i hope you find joy in whatever you do and wherever you will be pursuing.. for now, i thank you for the times you listened to me.. for the times you notice i wasn't too happy.. you opened me up to talk about my bottled feelings.

Laila, our receptionist, reminded me that.. a new team is a new start. it doesn't mean i can slack all over again (its never in my thoughts either) it means doing even better for the people who believe in me, and prove those people wrong :) i will..

looking forward to good days ahead!
FHA seems too happening to be missed and i'm glad i'm part of it..

i knw this is so grrrr... havent even start work proper and i'm thinking of how to submit my leave for april.. heehee.. but its gonna be aft the whole event what! i'll think of how to get it done.

oh well, happy new yr peeps!
it seem like the new yr starts TODAY for me :)
